5 New Things We Know About The POTUS

The man who presently lives at 1600, Pennsylvania Ave. is more than just a famous face who gives fantastic speeches, and runs the whole world from the Oval Office. As famous as he is, he remains as regular as your guy next door. Here are five new things learnt about the President of the United States, according to a report by the Associated Press.

HE SINGS IN THE BATHROOM;

Obama once sang the opening lines of the Al Green classic – Lets Stay Together at a NewYork fund raiser in 2012. And according to his wife Michelle, when granting an interview on BET’s 106 &Park, Obama sings all the time. ”Oh, yes, he’s in the bathroom all the time just singing. He is always willing to sing. He’s like, “you want me to sing now, want me to sing something for you?”

MR PRESIDENT CAN COOK;

Obama said the mothers of the Pakistani roomates he had in college in 1980 taught him how to cook a traditional South Asian meat dish called keema, a lentil dish known as daal, and other very good Pakistani food. Sam Kass, the chef Obama brought with him from Chicago when moving into the White House didn’t sound too worried about his pots and pans in the president’s hands. Kass said in an interview, “If he wants to make dinner now and again, that’s fine by me.

HE BROKE HIS NOSE PLAYING BASKETBALL;

It is common knowledge that President Obama is an avid basketball fan. He got a bust lip and 12 stitches playing basketball the day after thanksgiving in 2010. He revealed the past broken nose while arguing that his health care law has made the monthly cost of insurance so cheap, that young adults who often feel immune to illness or injury should protect themselves. “I kind of remember when I was in my 20’s and early 30’s, I thought I was invincible, but it turns out I broke my nose playing basketball. There were times where I had unexpected illnesses or accidents, and making sure that you’ve got coverage insures that you’re not ending up paying out of your pocket thousands of dollars that you may not have.” He told the Fusion television network in an interview.

WORLD TRAVELLER;

Besides all the years Obama spent growing up in Hawaii and Indonesia, it turns out he was a globe trotter even before landing his current job as POTUS. He went to Pakistan in 1980 because of his college room mates,  On visiting Pakistan, he said it was a wonderful trip for him, and it created a great love and appreciation for the Pakistani people. He said this after an Oval Office meeting with Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. He revealed at a separate Oval Office meeting with Prime Minister Enrico Letta that  he had been to Italy with Michelle before he became President, also been there as president, and was invited to come back. Letta invited him to return again, but Obama did not commit to visiting before his term ends in 2017.
