So I read online today that Lagos State  has enacted a domestic violence Law, to protect victims, especially women and children who are usually at the receiving end. Perpetrators of such cowardly act would be jailed apparently, and the victims put in a safe house.

I think this  is something worth applauding, and I would love to see more states in Nigeria step up to challenge domestic violence.

Meanwhile, there are husband beaters too. Although we don’t get to hear about them as much, seeing that no man would really want to bruise whatever ego he has by coming out to say my wife/girlfriend beats me. My advice would be to get out of ANY abusive relationship whatsoever. ASAP. Don’t die before your time please.
