You see this life ehnn…All the years I lived in Abuja, I begged for Platform event to hold in Abuja. I mean not that Lagos wasn’t cool enough. But if Abuja held its own Platform event, it would have saved me flight money to Lagos, as a single babe back then. LoL. So now that I have left gbam, next thing I hear Platform Abuja. I’m like wait… what? Which Platform?
Anyway… On the 1st of May 2015, which we all jolly well know is a public holiday, The Platform will hold in Abuja for the first time and believe me this is a very productive way to spend your free day.
Pastor Poju Oyemade of Covenant Christian Centre Lagos is the convener of The Platform, and the program is a non profit initiative, geared primarily towards improving the individuals of Nigeria and the world.
The theme is Business and Governance, and delivering the Keynote address is the Vice President elect of The Federal Republic of Nigeria. Yea you read that correctly. Vice President elect, Professor Yemi Osibajo, SAN. If you ever attended any of the Lagos Platforms, you will know that Professor Osibajo is a well known speaker in that space. Whats interesting is that it is a free event.
See free event. Y’all better attend and famz the incoming VP now that he’s still “elect” o. No one is going to give you free invite into Aso Rock later. Don’t say you were not told. LOL
Platform holds at the Nigerian Airforce (NAF) Conference Centre near NEXT supermarket, Ahmadu Bello Way, Jahi, Abuja. 9am prompt.
Other speakers on that day include Leke Alder, Caroline L.Arnold, Ibukun Awosika, Tonye Cole, Olusegun Adeniyi and Pastor Poju himself.
You can join the conversation on social media using the hashtag #BizNGovernance.
And if you are lucky to get a selfie with the incoming VP, or any of the other speakers, make sure you tag me or send them to me.
You should not miss this event.
Yes oh!! I’ll be joining the event on channels TV with a bowl of salt n sugar pop corn and a bottle of chilled water(if Nepa will give us light)
